DAY 1: CASABLANCA → RABAT → CHEFCHAOUEN (approx. 6 hours / approx. 374 km)

The tour begins with pick-up from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca or your hotel. The first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, an architectural monument rising over the Atlantic Ocean and the largest mosque in Morocco. From there we travel to Rabat, the country’s capital, to explore the Hassan Tower — the unfinished minaret of a 12th-century mosque — and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where the king who achieved Morocco’s independence and his two sons are buried in an exceptionally elegant complex. We also visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, with its whitewashed walls and views over the Bou Regreg river estuary. Lunch in Rabat.

In the afternoon we continue north to Chefchaouen, a town nestled between two Rif mountain peaks where almost everything — walls, stairs, flower pots, and doors — is painted in different shades of blue. Upon arrival, check-in at your riad and the rest of the afternoon is free to explore the medina at your own pace, photograph every alley, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of this unique city.

Overnight in a riad in Chefchaouen.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN → FES (approx. 3 hours 38 min / approx. 197 km)

Breakfast at the riad and free time in the morning to continue exploring Chefchaouen: local craft souks, the Kasbah, the central square Uta el-Hammam, and the best viewpoints over the blue rooftops from the highest parts of the city. Photography here is inevitable — every corner offers a different composition.

After lunch, scenic drive southeast to Fes, arriving late in the afternoon. Fes welcomes you with its medieval alleyways, mosques, and artisans working as they have for centuries. Check in at your riad in the heart of the medina and, if time allows, enjoy a first evening walk in the surroundings.

Overnight in a riad in Fes.

DAY 3: FES — FULL DAY GUIDED TOUR

A local guide will pick you up from your riad for a full-day exploration of Fes, one of the most fascinating medieval cities in the world. The visit starts at the golden gate of the Royal Palace, followed by a journey through the narrow alleys of the medina — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the University of Al Quaraouiyine, founded in 859 and considered the oldest continuously operating university in the world; the Al Attarine Madrasa with its unmatched mosaic courtyard and wood carvings; the Tanners’ Quarter of Chouara, where leather is still processed by hand in colorful vats; and the Nejjarine Fountain. We also visit the Mellah (historic Jewish quarter) and climb an old fortress for panoramic views over the sea of rooftops in the medina.

Overnight in a riad in Fes.

DAY 4: FES → IFRANE → MIDDLE ATLAS → ZIZ VALLEY → MERZOUGA → LUXURY CAMP (approx. 7.5 hours / approx. 500 km)

Breakfast and early departure towards the desert. First stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its alpine-style architecture and mountain climate. We cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in a cedar forest where Barbary macaques — one of North Africa’s rarest primates — live freely among the trees. Lunch en route.

The journey continues through the Ziz Valley, one of the most beautiful landscapes in southern Morocco, with endless palm groves lining both sides of the road. Arrival in Merzouga by late afternoon, where camels are ready. The camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi takes place at sunset, as the sand changes from gold to deep copper tones. Arrival at the luxury camp, welcome tea, private tent with bathroom, dinner, and evening around the fire with Berber music and stargazing under a clear desert sky.

Overnight in a luxury desert camp in Merzouga.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA → RISSANI → TODRA GORGE → DADES GORGES (approx. 5 hours / approx. 310 km)

Early wake-up to watch sunrise over the dunes from a nearby ridge — a truly unforgettable experience. Breakfast and return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4. If today is Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday, we visit the traditional market of Rissani, one of the most authentic souks in southern Morocco.

We continue to Tinghir to admire the vast palm oasis, then enter the Todra Gorge: a dramatic limestone canyon with cliffs reaching up to 300 meters and a narrow river passing through. A short walk in this natural wonder.

In the afternoon we arrive at the Dades Gorges, famous for their “monkey fingers” rock formations and winding road with panoramic views before reaching the hotel.

Overnight in a hotel in the Dades Gorges.

DAY 6: DADES GORGES → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → HIGH ATLAS → MARRAKECH (approx. 6.5 hours / approx. 353 km)

Final day of the tour. After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Optional visit to Atlas Studios, one of the world’s largest film studios. Then we visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar featured in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Lunch nearby.

In the afternoon we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying spectacular views over valleys and rugged peaks before arriving in Marrakech late afternoon.
